On a time I taught Physics at the School Without Walls (spoiler: it did have them) one of those A.S. Neill inspired schools that started over here in the sixties.
This was the sort of test I'd give my students.
Newton's First Law supplies the answers to ① and ② obviously, but what the guy in ③ is doing with the rock and the little town...? Possibly letting go before he reaches it.
